Profile and settings

The profile is the tab where you find your account details, statistics and settings. In Settings you control app behaviour: dark mode, language, push notifications, email preferences, battery mode for route tracking and more.

Does the app support dark mode?

Yes. In the app go to ProfileSettings and find Dark mode. You can switch between light and dark display there. Your choice is saved.

How do I receive push notifications?

Go to ProfileSettingsPush notifications. Turn them on to receive updates about projects and challenges. If you don't see notifications, check that Dorple is allowed in your device's notification settings.

How can I stay up to date via email?

Go to ProfileSettings or Account and open Email preferences. Under Project emails you can choose to receive updates about projects you're a member of. There is also an option for a daily digest (max. 1 email per day, around 6:00 PM).

How much battery does the app use?

In Settings you'll find Battery mode. There you choose how battery is used during route tracking. Options: Balanced (recommended), Battery saver (lower use) or High accuracy. Choose the mode that fits your use.

How do I change the language?

Go to ProfileSettingsLanguage. You can choose Dutch (NL), English (EN), German (DE) or French (FR). The app updates immediately to the selected language.

Where do I manage route tracking?

You can turn route tracking on or off in Settings and manage related permissions there. Your route is never visible as your personal path—only aggregated patterns are used for project insights (Privacy Guard). For how to start and stop a route, see the guide How does Flow (route tracking) work?.
